With a background starting in classical piano, her playing styles encompass all music genres., as well as touring with original
groups and playing corporate events throughout the US, UK and Canada.
Her studio credits include numerous CDs, movies, commercials, and
compositions for music libraries. She was most recently featured on the
“Gypsy Swing Allstars” CD, featuring John Jorgenson. She also charted,
transcribed and played in “Primal Twang – The History of the Guitar,”
featuring multiple world-class guitar greats, which is available on DVD.
Sharon currently plays with local artists Eve Selis, Tim Flannery and
Danielle Tucker, in addition to being a part of her own projects “Cactus
Twang & Whyte” playing music from Woodstock and Crosby Stills Nash
& Young and “Rodeohead” playing unconventional country music.
Her teaching style involves building a method that is unique for each student
that finds their passion and helps them accomplish their musical goals from
that place. Every individual is unique and Sharon loves finding what
motivates each student and supporting them in developing the skills they
need to express themselves in the way they choose.
